Interim Online Review 16/02/2010

Hey Shafi,

4 blog posts in 2 weeks...? It's not looking very convincing, is it? Let me be clear: you have a strong story idea, a way to refine a very neat 3 act story structure, and a clear mood/feel by which to art direct and design the world of your story. By now, I expect to see provisional storyboards and character designs; your blog should have lots of visual reference re. taxidermists and farmhouses. There is still time (but not much) for you to put together a very strong submission for unit 4 that is on a par with the bodies of work routinely produced by your classmates on CG Arts. I want you to refer to your brief and ensure that you are aware of what is expected of you. If you have any further questions, please make the time to come and see me to discuss. I do hope you are accessing the student support service as I have recommended a number of times, both verbally, and in written feedback. I have also encouraged you to talk with student services re. your English language comprehension skills, as you are aware I have my concerns in this area too. I expect you to access these services if you are experiencing difficulty engaging successfully with your degree studies.

Please see the next two comments for general advice. re. the written assignment for Unit 4. You especially need to take this advice on aboard and apply it rigorously to your formal written work.
